On Saturday, July 25, Consul General Maeda attended the 89th Annual San Francisco Obon Festival, organized by the Buddhist Church of San Francisco, and delivered remarks in a video message. In his remarks, Consul General Maeda said he was happy to join the San Francisco Obon Festival despite this year’s difficulties, and also mentioned that it is encouraging to see the Peace Plaza Renovation Project moving forward, having been unanimously supported by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
