On Saturday, July 25, Consul General Maeda attended the “Picnic at the Plaza” weekend event series in San Francisco Japantown, together with Supervisor Dean Preston and a representative from the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department. In his remarks, Consul General Maeda said it was encouraging to see this outdoor dining event take place and that many people were visiting Japantown for the occasion. He also expressed his appreciation to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors for their unanimous support of the Peace Plaza Renovation Project. “Picnic at the Plaza” takes place from July 18-September 27 on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am-8:00pm.
