2020/9/23

On Tuesday, September 22, Consul General Maeda visited the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park with San Francisco Recreation & Park Department General Manager Phil Ginsburg. Established in 1894, the Tea Garden is the oldest public Japanese garden in North America and has provided countless visitors an opportunity to experience a Japanese-style garden over the past 125 years. Currently, a renovation is in progress for the facilities including the Pagoda, one of the highlights in the garden which was displayed at the 1915 Panama Pacific Exhibition in San Francisco and moved to the current site in 1916.
