Presentation by CJSCN
On Friday, November 13, the California-Japan Sister Cities Fall Workshop was held virtually, tri-hosted by Consul General Maeda, Consul General Akira Muto of the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, and the California-Japan Sister Cities Network (CJSCN). In this third annual fall workshop, sister cities in Southern California were invited for the first time, with a total of about 170 individuals from 54 sister cities in attendance. During the event, participants learned best practices and networked with each other in small groups, and enjoyed a panel session among Mayor Inscore of Crescent City, Supervisor Howard of Del Norte County and Mayor Toba of Rikuzentakata on their inspiring sister city relationship. Additionally, many alumni of the JET Program joined the event and became acquainted with their local sister city relationships.
