San Francisco City Hall Raises Japanese Flag to Celebrate Emperor’s Birthday

Proclamation issued by Mayor Breed
On Tuesday, February 23, the City & County of San Francisco raised Japan’s national flag at City Hall to celebrate His Majesty the Emperor of Japan’s birthday. Accordingly, San Francisco Mayor London Breed issued a proclamation, which resolved that February 23 would be Japanese-American Friendship and Heritage Day in San Francisco.
