On Saturday, October 9, an award ceremony for Dr. Kuniko Takeuchi was held. She was bestowed the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays, originally conferred upon her in the spring of 2020.
Dr. Takeuchi was recognized for her contributions to the promotion of Judo and friendship between Japan and the United States of America through her role as an instructor including as a coaching staff member of the US Women’s National Judo Team, as well as through her accomplishments at organizations including USA Judo.
