This event will feature guest speakers with experience in a variety of different industries, including video games, manga, news, and education.

Speakers

Dominic Abordo
After majoring in English and Japanese at UC Berkeley, Dominic Abordo participated in the Japan Exchange & Teaching Program as a Coordinator for International Relations in Akita Prefecture. He also managed GPI US’s Japan Exchange Program, and in 2013 he received a Master’s degree from Columbia University in Social Work, with a focus on NPO and business administration. He now works for Capcom USA, Inc. in the Divisional Communications section.
Christopher Reed
Christopher Reed worked in Japan on the JET Program before attending Waseda University as a government sponsored exchange student and receiving his master’s degree in political science and government. He also worked as a reporter and news assistant for the Asahi Shimbun’s San Francisco Bureau and currently serves as a liaison officer for the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science’s San Francisco Office.
