Consul General Kawamura gives opening remarks
On November 1, 4, 8, 11, 15 and 18 (6 days), the Alliance Forum Foundation organized the virtual 2021 World Alliance Forum in San Francisco with the theme centered on healthcare. Prime Minister Kishida referred to the importance of “new capitalism” in a video message. Consul General Kawamura gave opening remarks and key players from industry, academia, and government from Japan, the United States, and other countries joined discussions. On the last day, Consul General Kawamura read a message from Foreign Minister Hayashi, expressing his hope for the development of partnerships in the healthcare sector.

※ The World Alliance Forum in San Francisco is organized with the purpose of creating a venue for top researchers and business people to discuss current research and cutting edge medical innovations surrounding advanced health care. The Government of Japan, along with the Consulate General of Japan, has supported this forum since its inception in San Francisco in 2013.
