On Tuesday, December 7, Consul General Kawamura attended and spoke at the Pearl Harbor Day 80th Anniversary at the Vallejo Veterans Memorial Park.
This anniversary ceremony was attended by California State Senator Bill Dodd, Vallejo Mayor Robert McConnell, and veterans, who participated in a wreath-laying ceremony. During his remarks, Consul General Kawamura expressed his condolences for the lives lost and reflected on the strong present-day Japan-U.S. alliance which forms the cornerstone of peace, freedom, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.
