On Saturday, February 12, Consul General Hiroshi Kawamura delivered remarks at the virtual Northern California Time of Remembrance (NCTOR) presented by the Florin, Lodi, Placer County, and Sacramento chapters of the Japanese American Citizenship League.
This annual event is held to remember the signing of Executive Order 9066, which resulted in the incarceration of 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry in America’s concentration centers during World War II.
