On February 12, the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj), with the support of the Consulate General of Japan and Sake breweries, held a virtual Sake tasting event. Consul General Kawamura attended and delivered opening remarks.
Attendees over the age of 21 experienced a guided tasting of five different types of Sake alongside snack pairings, and learned about the connections between Japanese American history and Sake brewing in the region.
