On Tuesday, May 3, Professor Alan Jeffrey Auerbach was presented the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon by Minister Daishiro Yamagiwa, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, at the University of California, Berkeley.
Professor Auerbach was recognized in the 2021 Autumn Conferment of Japanese Decorations for his contributions to the fields of public finance and economic policy, as well as his commitment to the promotion of academic exchange between Japan and the United States through international conferences of Japanese and U.S. economists.
