KIOKE Shoyu Tasting Event with the Japan Society of Northern California

On Tuesday, July 12, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco co-hosted an event with the Japan Society of Northern California to promote KIOKE Shoyu, a type of traditional Japanese soy sauce. Acting Consul General Kishimori attended the event and delivered opening remarks.
 
The event featured presentations by Japanese soy sauce makers Yugeta Shoyu, Isegura, and Nitto Jozo on the traditional production process, history, and flavor of soy sauce made in wooden barrels. Attendees enjoyed sampling soy sauce paired with salad, sashimi, and other dishes.
