Innovation Showcase startup companies from Japan: CureApp, Gitai, Kyoto Fisioneering, Telexistence Inc., and Warpspace Inc and speakers
On Thursday, July 14, the 12th Japan-U.S. Innovation Awards Symposium was held at Stanford University for the first time in-person in three years. The Consulate General of Japan supported this annual event co-organized by the Japan Society of Northern California and the US-Asia Technology Management Center at Stanford University.
 
During the Innovation Awards Symposium, two companies, TIER IV, headquartered in Japan, and Databricks, headquartered in the United States, (received the Emerging Leader Awards for technological innovations in their respective industries. The Innovation Showcase also featured five Japanese startup companies that are developing new exciting technologies and groundbreaking business ideas.
 
In his closing remarks, Acting Consul General Kishimori shared Prime Minister Kishida’s vision for a Digital Garden City Nation as a driver to help revitalize areas of Japan through innovation. Acting Consul General Kishimori hopes this symposium will lead to new collaboration and sharing across borders.
