On Wednesday, September 28, the Pagoda Celebration was held at the Japanese Tea Garden in Golden Gate Park to celebrate the completion of the two-and-a-half-year restoration of the garden’s pagoda. Consul General Noguchi attended the ceremony and delivered remarks.
The restoration was a joint effort by the San Francisco Parks Alliance, the Friends of the Japanese Tea Garden, and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department in celebration of the Japanese Tea Garden's 125th anniversary in 2019.
