On Thursday, November 17, Consul General Noguchi hosted the presentation ceremony and reception for Mr. Richard Hashimoto, recipient of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays.
Mr. Hashimoto was recognized in the 2021 Autumn Conferment of Japanese Decorations for his achievements in introducing Japanese culture to the United States and promoting friendly relations between Japan and the United States through his leadership roles in the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival and the Japantown Merchants Association of San Francisco.
