On Monday, March 13, two high school student delegates from Osaka City, Japan, visited the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco with representatives of the San Francisco-Osaka Sister City Association and a San Francisco host student. Consul General Noguchi encouraged the students to make the most of their stay to deepen mutual understanding and friendship with their peers in San Francisco.
The student delegation exchange program between San Francisco and Osaka has been organized by the San Francisco-Osaka Sister City Association since 1986, and in recent years with the support of SOYNET (San Francisco Osaka Youth Connect). This year, students from Osaka have visited for the first time in 3 years, hosted by George Washington High School following the previous host of Lincoln High School. This summer, the San Francisco student delegation is scheduled to visit Osaka.
