On Friday, April 7th, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco held a pre-departure orientation for the 2023 Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program early departure participants in person for the first time since 2019. This year’s group of early departure JETs will be working as Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) in Wakayama Prefecture, Nagasaki Prefecture, Fukushima Prefecture, and Oita Prefecture.
When asked about her upcoming time in Japan, outbound JET Sage Hinsley said, “I’m super excited to meet everyone in my town and experience Japan in a personal, unique way. It is an honor to be given this amazing experience!” We wish the participants the best on this new chapter of their life and further success in Japan.
