On Tuesday, May 9, the Japan Coast Guard Academy training ship Kojima made a port call in San Francisco. The Kojima is on a 3-month training voyage with cadets who graduated from the Japan Coast Guard Academy this past March. Consul General Noguchi, community members, and U.S. Coast Guard officers attended a welcome ceremony for the crew and cadets.
After the welcome ceremony, the Kojima crew and cadets welcomed the audience aboard, presenting a variety of Japanese cultural activities and experiences.
