On Sunday, May 21, the 2023 Sonoma County MATSURI! Japanese Arts Festival was held in Juilliard Park in Santa Rosa. Consul General Noguchi attended the festival, giving remarks during the opening ceremony highlighting the importance of events like the Sonoma MATSURI! in strengthening the strong ties between Japan and Northern California.
The festival featured a variety of Japanese cultural performances and activities, including taiko drumming, traditional dance, ikebana, and martial arts. Thank you to the Sonoma County Matsuri Festival Board of Directors and all of the performers, artists, and attendees that made the event a success.
