On Tuesday, June 13, a delegation of two high school students from San Francisco and leadership from the San Francisco Osaka Sister City Association visited the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco. Consul General Noguchi encouraged the students to make the most of their visit to deepen mutual understanding and friendship with their peers in Osaka City. The student delegation exchange program between San Francisco and Osaka City has been organized by the San Francisco Osaka Sister City Association since 1986, and in recent years with the support of SOYNET (San Francisco Osaka Youth Connect). This is the first time that San Francisco students will be traveling to Osaka City on exchange since before the pandemic. Earlier this year, students from Osaka City also visited for the first time since 2019, hosted by George Washington High School.
