Presentation on the charms of Ehime Prefecture
On Friday, July 28, Ehime Prefectural Government hosted a reception at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California (JCCCNC) ahead of the opening of Japantenna: Ehime. Consul General Noguchi attended and spoke at the event.
The reception was well-attended, including representatives for the tourism and cycling industries, California State Senator Scott Weiner, and representatives from the Consulates General of Georgia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Peru, and Ukraine.
At the reception, sake produced in Ehime was served along with samples of Ehime specialties such as Hakata salt and candied citrus peel. A presentation on the charms of Ehime Prefecture was given, and attendees had the opportunity to try a virtual cycling experience of the Shimanami Kaido cycling route.
