On Friday, September 29, Rosa Parks Elementary School’s Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (JBBP) held its annual Undokai, or Sports Day, with the Consulate’s Advisor for Cultural and Educational Affairs Yumiko Ishii attending and giving closing remarks. Rosa Parks JBBP students from Kindergarten through 5th grade divided into white and red teams participating in a friendly competition of foot races, ball-tossing, three-legged race, and ball-rolling, while being cheered on by parents and community members.
