18th Annual Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival

On Sunday, October 1, the 18th Millbrae Japanese Culture Festival was held in Millbrae. Consul General Osumi joined the opening ceremony, along with Millbrae Mayor Ann Schneider and California State Assemblymember Diane Papan. In his remarks, Consul General Osumi expressed the importance of grassroots events like the festival in fostering friendship between Japan and Northern California.
The Festival featured Japanese cultural displays and performances including Japanese dance, music, martial arts, and taiko drumming. The Consulate held its Japan Information booth to provide materials and resources on Japanese culture, events, and the JET Program.
