Opening Ceremony for Japantenna: Craft Valley
2023/10/18

On Saturday, October 14, Consul General Osumi attended and gave remarks at the opening ceremony of Japantenna: Craft Valley in San Francisco Japantown.
“Craft Valley” refers to five Hokuriku (northwestern) cities (Himi, Nanto, and Takaoka in Toyama Prefecture; Hida in Gifu Prefecture; and Komatsu in Ishikawa Prefecture) where traditional crafts and manufacturing industries are flourishing. Japantenna: Craft Valley was held for the second time, following last year's event.
Japantenna is a non-profit “antenna shop” project that focuses on the local specialties, products, and attractions of Japan’s prefectures and regions, seeking to promote trade and investment between Japan and San Francisco, tourism exchange, and the revitalization of Japantown. Japantenna: Craft Valley was held over two days, Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 in the Japan Center East Mall.
