JACL CCDC Day of Remembrance

On Saturday, February 10, the Japanese American Citizens League Central California District Council (JACL CCDC) held its Day of Remembrance event at the Fresno County Historical Museum. Consul General Osumi attended and gave remarks. Other speakers included Congressman Jim Costa and Nisei Baseball Research Project Director Kerry Yo Nakagawa. Following the event, Consul General and Mrs. Osumi toured the Shinzen Friendship Garden.
The Day of Remembrance is held annually to remember the signing of Executive Order 9066, which resulted in the incarceration of 120,000 people of Japanese ancestry in the United States during World War II
