Japan Innovation Campus: The Showcase
2024/3/27

On Thursday, March 21, Consul General Osumi gave remarks at the Japan Innovation Campus’ showcase event highlighting the Japanese startups and entrepreneurs based at the facility. Sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI), the Japan Innovation Campus (JIC) is a startup center in Palo Alto aimed at helping Japanese entrepreneurs enter the Silicon Valley business ecosystem. The Campus provides office space for startups to use full-time, coworking space for entrepreneurs to use as needed, and mentoring and consultation services for startups breaking into the U.S. market.
Twelve startups, covering fields such as AI, IT, healthcare, and more, pitched their companies to an audience of local venture capitalists and business representatives. Afterwards, guests networked and viewed startup demos while enjoying a sampling of Japanese cuisine.
