On Friday, March 22, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the 2023 “Once in Japan” Photo Contest in its Japan Information and Cultural Center Gallery.
Consul General Osumi prresented certificates to the winners and Mr. Kaneda, Senior Director and General Manager at Canon U.S.A., Inc., presented the winners with their prizes from Canon. Consul General Osumi spoke on the ability for photographs to tell stories and his hope that these photos will inspire viewers to further explore Japan and all its charms. The winners shared their experiences relating to their photos.
