Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Keizo Takemi Attends Reception Hosted by Japan Society of Northern California

On Monday, July 8, Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Keizo Takemi attended the "Connected Healthcare Industries and the Japan-Silicon Valley Nexus" reception hosted by the Japan Society of Northern California (JSNC).
The reception opened with welcoming remarks by Steve Pollock, President of the Japan Society of Northern California, and Acting Consul General Hajime Kishimori. Minister Takemi then gave a presentation on recent initiatives by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare and shared his thoughts on possible future actions inspired by his visits to Silicon Valley companies. In the Q&A session, Dr. Fumiaki Ikeno, a Stanford University researcher joined the discussion, which was followed by networking with participants.
