Consul General Osumi presents his commendation to Ms. Horikiri
On Sunday, August 4, Consul General Osumi attended the second day of the 50th Nihonmachi Street Fair (NSF) in San Francisco Japantown, and presented his Consul General’s Commendation to Ms. Grace Horikiri, Executive Director of both NSF and the Japantown Community Benefit District (JCBD). In his remarks, Consul General Osumi mentioned Grace Horikiri, who serves Japantown in multiple capacities, including economic and cultural enrichment.
The Nihonmachi Street Fair is an annual neighborhood-wide festival celebrating Japantown and the Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander community of San Francisco, featuring a variety of performances and cultural acts, while creating a space for the next generation of community leaders to learn and grow.
