On Monday, August 5, the Stanford Program on International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE) hosted its Japan Day to award 6 Japanese and 3 American high school students for their outstanding performance in the Stanford e-Japan Program and Reischauer Scholars Program, respectively.
Consul General Yo Osumi delivered congratulatory remarks commending the students on their inquisitive spirit to learn about each other’s cultures and encourage them to use what they learned to give back to their communities and society. The program students were presented with Awards of Honor, and were invited to give presentations about their experiences and the research they had done on a topic related to US-Japan relations.
Each of the above-mentioned programs is an online educational program run by SPICE for high school students to promote mutual cross-cultural understanding between Japan and the United States. Please refer to the respective links below for further information.
