On August 26 and 27, Consul General Yo Osumi was warmly received at multiple locations across Monterey County. The visit included meetings with members of the Japanese American community at Matsui Nursery and JACL Monterey, official tours of the Naval Postgraduate School and Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC), Exchange of views at Middlebury College, and a close-up view of electric aircraft in development at Joby Aviation.
