Consul General’s Commendation Presented to Ms. Mitsuko Maruyama at 2024 Ikebana Luncheon
On Thursday, August 29, Consul General Yo Osumi and Mrs. Osumi hosted a luncheon at their official residence recognizing the officers of the Ikebana international San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (IISF) and the Ikebana Teachers’ Federation (ITF). Consul General and Mrs. Osumi thanked the boards of both organizations for their many activities promoting Ikebana and Japanese culture throughout Northern California.
During the program, Consul General Osumi presented his commendation to Ms. Mitsuko Maruyama, co-president of IISF and former president of ITF for her contributions to enhancing the Japan-California relationship through her activities with ikebana.
