On Friday, September 27, Consul General Yo Osumi and his wife Misao attended Rosa Parks Elementary School’s Japanese Bilingual Bicultural Program (JBBP) annual Undokai, or Sports Day. Rosa Parks JBBP students from Kindergarten through 5th grade divided into red and white teams participating in a friendly competition of foot races, ball-tossing, three-legged race, and ball-rolling. Consul General Osumi gave words of encouragement to the students and cheered on both teams alongside parents and community members.
