The Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California partnered with various Japanese companies to organize visits to two Fremont Union High School District Schools: Monta Vista High School on Friday, November 15, and Lynbrook High School on Wednesday, November 20. Each Japanese company presented an overview of their businesses to the Japanese language students at both schools. The students enjoyed listening to the presentations in Japanese and practicing their Japanese by asking questions about their companies.

Japanese companies from many different industries joined the school visits including: the airline industry, trading and investment, business consultation, and more. Each company has a local branch based in the Bay Area.

The students commented talking about how this opportunity to learn about local Japanese companies deepened their knowledge about the various industries and activities that Japanese companies are engaged in here within the Bay Area. They thought that it was a good opportunity that will be informative for their future career goals.
