The Way of Tea 2025: Applications Available
2024/11/21

The Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco presents “The Way of Tea 2025”. This program seeks to introduce classes of Northern California students to Japanese culture and language by way of the tea ceremony. This year, we are offering 6 sessions for classes of elementary through college level students to be held in San Francisco. Each of these 2-hour lessons will be led by Urasenke Foundation San Francisco and will consist of an introduction to Japanese tea and a hands-on portion in which students will participate in an actual tea gathering in a tearoom.
- This free program is a fantastic opportunity for Japanese language classes, social studies classes, and cultural clubs. Japanese language experience is not necessary.
- This program is intended for classes of students, and not for private individuals.
- Group sizes are limited to a maximum of 25 students.
- Registration and selection required to participate.
- Schools/Organizations are responsible for their own transportation to and from the venue.
