The Third Golden State Warriors Japanese Heritage Night

On Saturday, January 4, the Golden State Warriors held their Japanese Heritage night for the 2024/25 season at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Deputy Consul General Ishihara represented the Consulate at the game and Japan-related program included the pregame bell-ringing ceremony by local Japanese American newscaster Mike Inouye, a rendition of the U.S. National Anthem on koto by Shirley Kazuyo Muramoto, and a halftime performance by the Okinawa Kenjinkai (NCOKK) Eisa Shima Daiko.
Attendees included a strong showing from members of Northern California’s diverse Japanese and Japanese American community.
