On Wednesday, July 9, Consul General Yo Osumi hosted a California-Japan Business Collaboration Reception together with Consul General Kenko Sone from Los Angeles and the California-Japan Legislative Forum, co-chaired by Senator Dave Cortese and Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi. This event brought prominent Japanese businesses from across the state, including members of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California and the Japanese Business Association of Southern California, to Sacramento.
Five leading companies gave presentations on their businesses to deepen legislators’ understanding of Japanese businesses in the state and their contributions to California’s economy.
Representatives from organizations including the Japan Society of Northern California (JSNC), the U.S.-Japan Council (USJC), the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) also attended the event.
