Throughout the month of August, Consul General Yo Osumi and Consulate staff took part in the Japan Day and Regional Japan Days, hosted by the Stanford Program for International and Cross-Cultural Education (SPICE). Consul General Osumi delivered remarks at the Japan Day on Monday, August 11th, congratulating the students from the e-Japan Program, and the Reischauer Scholars Program, and encouraging them to learn more about their own country to become global citizens.
The Regional Japan Days took place on Friday, August 8th, Wednesday, August 20th, Friday, August 22nd, and Tuesday, August 26th, celebrating the honorees from SPICE’s e-Kawasaki, e-Kobe, e-Tottori, e-Oita, e-Hiroshima, e-Yamaguchi, e-Kagoshima City, and e-Wakayama programs respectively. On each of these days, Consulate staff attended and delivered congratulatory remarks to the students and thanked SPICE for their promotion of intercultural education.
