2025 Once in Japan Photo Contest Award Ceremony

On Wednesday, November 19, the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco hosted the award ceremony for the winners of the 2025 Once in Japan Photo Contest at KOHO Creative Hub in San Francisco Japantown.
Consul General Kotaro Otsuki presented certificates and Mr. Kenichi Kaneda, Senior Director and General Manager at Canon U.S.A., Inc., presented the winners with their prizes from Canon. Consul General Otuski expressed his gratitude to the entrants for sharing their photos and memories of Japan, and how their stories will help inspire others to visit and connect.
The winners also shared their experiences relating to their photos.
Additionally, the 2025 Once in Japan Youth Category Sister City Prize was presented to the winner at the California-Japan Sister City Network’s fall workshop in South San Francisco on Friday, November 21.
