Fireside chat with Ms. Yamaguchi
On Friday, January 30, Deputy Consul General Takeshi Ishihara attended Keizai Silicon Valley’s New Year’s reception, praising the organization’s efforts to bridge Japan-Silicon Valley business ties through their executive exchange programs and events. This year, Ms. Kristi Yamaguchi, Olympic gold medalist in figure skating and founder of the Always Dream Foundation, received the Keizai Silicon Valley Distinguished Achievement Award. After giving remarks, Ms. Yamaguchi participated in a fireside chat, and took part in a kagami-biraki (sake cask-opening) ceremony with Deputy Consul General Ishihara.
