Japan Flag-Raising Ceremony at San Francisco City Hall

On Monday, February 23, San Francisco Mayor hosted a flag-raising ceremony at San Francisco City Hall in honor of the 66th birthday of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.

Consul General Kotaro Otsuki raised Japan’s national flag together with Supervisor Connie Chan, representatives from the Bay Area Japanese and Japanese American community, and consuls general of Asia Pacific countries. Consul General Otsuki was also presented with a Proclamation of Japanese-American Friendship and Heritage Day by Mayor Lurie.
