Presentation of the Consul General’s commendation to President Yuko Yamada
On Saturday, April 4, Consul General Kotaro Otsuki joined the 9th Kizuna Japan Spring Festival organized by the Kizuna Japanese Society in Las Vegas’s Lorenzi Park.. In the speakers program, Consul General Otsuki gave welcome remarks and presented the Consul General’s Commendation to the Kizuna Japanese Society in recognition of Kizuna’s contributions to promoting friendship between Japan and the State of Nevada through its efforts to share Japanese culture, and commemorating the organization’s 15th anniversary. The award was accepted by Kizuna President Ms. Yuko Yamada.
Las Vegas City Councilwoman Shondra Summers-Armstrong also offered congratulations on the holding of the Kizuna Japan Spring Festival.
The festival featured a wide range of Japanese cultural performances and demonstrations on stage and at booths throughout the venue, including tea ceremony, calligraphy, ikebana, dance, music, and martial arts.
