Consulate Staff gives a presentation about trains in Japan
Students are introduced to programs supported by the Japanese Government to study or work in Japan
On Tuesday, April 21, Consulate staff visited the Harker School in San Jose as part of the Japan in the Classroom School Visit Program which introduces Japan to students.
During the visit, Consulate staff gave a presentation on Japan’s railways to AP Japanese Language students. They showed great interest in learning and listened intently to the lecture about railway technology—including the high speed railway system (shinkansen)—and the characteristics of urban life centered on public transportation and how it differs compared to California.
Following the lecture, Consulate staff introduced programs supported by the Japanese Government for opportunities to study abroad or work in Japan.
