Consul General Otsuki at SF Giants’ Japanese Heritage Night
On Friday, May 22, the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball team held their annual Japanese Heritage Night at Oracle Park in San Francisco. Consul General Kotaro Otsuki threw out the ceremonial first pitch, joining San Francisco Bay Area Japanese and Japanese American community members and Giants fans.
Highlights of the evening included the Star-Spangled Banner performed on koto (Japanese zither) by Shirley Kazuyo Muramoto, and a performance by San Jose Taiko.
