Confirmation of Novel Coronavirus Japanese Consulate in San Francisco visitor

An applicant who visited the Japanese Consulate in the past, has recently reported to the Consulate that he/she has tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus.
The applicant visited the consular window counter for less than 30 minutes the morning of March 16 (Monday), and although the applicant had no symptoms that day, symptoms began to appear two days later of March 18 (Wednesday), and on March 22nd (Sunday) it was confirmed that the person tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus. In addition, the applicant does not currently have any serious health complications due to the Novel Coronavirus, and is self-quarantining at home.
At the request of the Japanese Consulate, the building management has disinfected the areas the applicant visited or used, including all elevators. In addition, the building management has been routinely disinfecting the building and plans to carry out regular cleanings and disinfections in the near future.
