On Wednesday, May 27, the annual Sacramento Tree Foundation’s Tree Hero Awards were held at the California Farm Bureau in Sacramento.
Consul General Jun Yamada gave remarks at the ceremony expressing his high hopes for "Sakuramento", the initiative to plant cherry trees in Sacramento. He also met U.S. Congressmember Doris Matsui and Ray Tretheway, Sacramento Tree Foundation Executive Director and former Sacramento Mayor.
