Kobe Food and Sake Experience
2016/6/24
On Tuesday, June 16, the “Kobe Food and Sake Experience” was held at the Consul General’s official residence. The event was co-hosted by the City of Kobe and the Consulate. About 100 people participated, including attendees from a separate investment promotion seminar hosted by the City of Kobe and local businesspeople interested in tapping into Kobe’s markets. Representatives from Bay Area restaurants, Japanese supermarkets, distribution companies, and press were also in attendance.
For the reception, the City of Kobe provided Kobe beef, Suma Nori (seaweed), Ikanago Kugini (simmered sand lance), and Nada Sake. Everyone enjoyed the taste of Kobe.
We hope this event has helped to promote the popularity and growth of Kobe products in this area; not only Kobe beef, but also Suma Nori and Kugini. We expect that this will also play a role in attracting businesses from this area to invest in the City of Kobe.
