“Rhythms of Nature: Works Inspired by Japan” Artist Talk

2016/6/24
On June 19, an opening reception for Corinne Takara’s Rhythms of Nature: Worked Inspired by Japan happened at the Consulate General of Japan’s Japan Information and Cultural Center. About 20 people attended the talk. Takara gave a presentation on her art and inspiration behind her pieces. This exhibit is a collection of Takara’s mixed media works that draw inspiration from Japanese patterns, legends, and the thriftiness of Meiji Era Japan, using reuse materials etc. By blending old and new, both in materials and construction methods, Takara creates a unique body of work that celebrates Japan’s poetic attention to the natural world.
Corinne Takara’s Rhythms of Nature: Worked Inspired by Japan will be on display at the Japan Information and Cultural Center until Friday, August 28th, 2015. We hope you will be able to visit our gallery.

When: Friday, June 19th, 2015
Location: Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco
