The 10th US-Japan Future Forum

On Friday, September 18, Consul General Yamada attended the 10th US-Japan Future Forum hosted by US-Japan Forum at San Jose State University. Commemorating the 150th anniversary of Satsuma Students' overseas study, this year, the theme of the forum was "Grape King of California-Kanaye Nagasawa." Amy Ijichi Mori, grandniece of Kanaye Nagasawa gave a keynote speech about her childhood memory of Nagasawa. Following presentations by American and Japanese students on California wine, the event concluded with a lively panel discussion on the future of wine industry.
